Our Legal department is looking for a Legal Counsel. This position will be based in Porto and will have the following responsibilities: - Responding on behalf of the company to requirements for third party client tenders
- Providing legal analysis, drafting and negotiation of national and international contracts for the construction and operation of renewable power plants (EPC, O&M)
- Acting on behalf of the company to analyse and mitigate risk, to draft and negotiate contracts related to distribution activities such as agency, distribution, partnership agreements, etc.
- Acting on behalf of the company in disputes; providing advice on legal issues such as customer and suppliers claims, pre-litigation and litigation
- Providing generalist support for the company's legal requirements; drafting letters, policies, contract templates and legal documents; ensuring accurate legal advice is given and that procedures are followed as per current local legislative and statutory compliance
- Keeping updated about changes and developments in case law, contract law, liability, public procurement, local legislation, and other topics
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or master’s degree in law
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience
- Experienced in projects with high complexity
- Strong knowledge of contract law and construction law
- Advanced English and Spanish language level
