YOUR MISSIONS

Under the authority of the EPC Project Manager, the EPC Site Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth progress of a construction project daily. They oversee all aspects, from ensuring the proper execution of tasks to the selection of subcontractor teams. They are responsible for preparation and technical monitoring, coordinating various trades, and ensuring the availability of resources to meet project deadlines. 

Preparation and technical monitoring of construction projects:

  • Assist the Project Manager in site preparation activities (clearing, track construction, fence installation, establishment of base camp, setting up storage area and temporary security system, etc.): consult suppliers and subcontractors, select the best-suited ones for the project and get approval from the project manager, prepare purchase requests; 
  • Submit purchase requests to the Admin PO; 
  • Give support to the Project Manager in the preparation of the contracts with subcontractors; 
  • Analyze and monitor the execution plans provided by the project manager (expected deliverables, delivery deadlines, budget) and ensure their proper implementation on the field; 
  • Ensure the supply of materials, services and order necessary supplies (small tools, equipment rental, etc.), and organize the storage of materials and structural elements, including prefabricated components;

  • Define and ensure proper site layout according to the execution plans (ground marking, structure tracing, identification of networks, marking); 
  • Coordinate the intervention of machinery and construction equipment; 
  • Maintain good relations with local residents and various stakeholders present in the vicinity of the construction site; 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations (wearing helmets, etc.) and workplace hygiene on the site, as well as environmental rules (waste management, noise pollution, etc.); 
  • Coordinate and supervise the actions of subcontractors; 
  • Disseminate information to subcontracting teams; 
  • Allocate workload within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with contractual relationships; 
  • Collect necessary information for reporting; 
  • Escalate to their superiors any points of concern that may impact the set objectives; 

Activity reporting:

  • Prepare activity monitoring reports (Excel) with daily progress status of work packages; 
  • Control the progress schedules of different project phases and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to deadlines and budget; 
  • Raise alerts to the project manager in case of deviations from the planned schedule; 
  • Regularly review progress with the project manager to track overall construction advancement; 
  • Complete the HSE indicators tracking file to ensure compliance of site activities with Voltalia's HSE requirements. 
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Master's degree or Engineering school and/or 10 years of experience in construction project management; 
  • Driver's license (B); 
  • In-depth knowledge of construction projects; 
  • General knowledge in the energy sector; 
  • In-depth knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations; 
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in project planning (able to work with planning software)  - Earned Value and Critical Path method; 
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of construction law and labor law; 
    Proficiency in professional English (writing, comprehension, and
  • communication); 
  • Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, etc.).
