YOUR MISSIONS

Under the authority of the Global HSE Manager, the Regional HSE Manager defines, implements, and continuously improves the HSE strategy across several countries.
They ensure the protection of employees and subcontractors, compliance with legal and internal requirements, alignment with corporate strategy, and satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.

The HSE Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Define and update HSE policies in alignment with corporate strategy and cross‑functional policies (HR, Technical, Procurement, etc.).
  • Prioritize actions by business line, from risk management to innovative process development.
  • Ensure new activities, projects, and products integrate HSE requirements from the design stage.
  • Support leadership in defining HSE guidelines, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Develop HSE training programs.
  • Define and maintain an annual HSE audit program.
  • Conduct safety audits, including subcontractor audits.
  • Validate HSE plans for operational activities.
  • Contribute to engineering reviews for new projects or modifications.
  • Maintain and update HSE incident and corrective action databases.
  • Prepare HSE KPIs and performance reports for the organization.
  • Define and monitor internal HSE audit plans, ensuring follow‑up of resulting actions.
  • Supervise local implementation of global HSE policies.
  • Ensure achievement of HSE targets through regular performance tracking.
  • Develop and test emergency response plans.
  • Monitor applicable national and EU regulations; coordinate regulatory watch.
  • Lead technological watch to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Engage site managers and local HSE representatives to ensure HSE consistency across all levels.
  • Conduct HSE awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Organize internal HSE training and policy presentations.
  • Prepare HSE documentation for bids and tenders.
  • Publish periodic reports on ongoing actions and upcoming initiatives.
  • Provide expert HSE support to internal stakeholders.
  • Represent the company before authorities and professional bodies (e.g., environmental authorities, labor inspection).
  • Lead and develop a multi‑site HSE team, including external subcontracted HSE specialists.
  • Define skills needs and training plans.
  • Conduct annual reviews and manage performance, recognition, and disciplinary measures where required.
  • Set individual and team objectives aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Promote collaboration, communication, and a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate team workload, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Consolidate and monitor HSE performance indicators for the perimeter.
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Degree or Master’s degree in HSE, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar multi site HSE management role.
  • Professional English proficiency (writing, speaking). Portuguese is a plus.
  • HSE certifications:
    • First Aid (SST)
    • Electrical authorization BO/H0V
    • Fire extinguisher handling
  • Advanced knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HSE management systems and audits.
  • Project management skills.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience in multi‑country HSE governance is an asset.
