We are an electricity producer from wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage and also a service provider to 3rd party clients such as Development, EPC, O&M and Distribution.Today we are in 20 countries, split among 4 continents, and offering a global operating capacity to our clients. Based in the Stonehouse office, the HR Manager for the UK will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare and propose Strategic Lines that will govern the activities of the area, in the Country, and the respective Plan of Activities, in order to ensure the achievement of the defined objectives;
  • Foster the values of Voltalia throughout the organization, engaging the employees in the right context of work, communication and development;
  • Follow-up employee’s engagement, deploying strategies and initiatives that aim to improve employee’s motivation, happiness and well-being;
  • Identify, with the support of the direct team, internal and transversal improvement to be carried out;
  • Coordinate the Human Resources area and the Human Resources team, defining responsibilities, evaluating performance, activities to be carried out and respective owners, and training and motivation actions, in order to guarantee the development and good performance of employees under direct responsibility and, consequently, the achievement of defined objectives;
  • Work, in collaboration with the Human Resources top management, to define/apply Voltalia HR Policies, in compliance with the current legal framework, ensuring the implementation and management of all processes and instruments that these policies trigger;

  • Manage HR activities, namely, Recruitment, Selection and Integration of new employees; Training and Development; Remuneration Policy: fixed and variable remuneration, Benefits; Administrative Management of Human Resources; Evaluation of Performance, Internal Communication;
  • Coordinate the work related to the activity indicators of the Human Resources area, to guarantee their availability to the Management, in accordance with the defined reporting mechanisms and deadlines, and ensuring the expected levels of reliability of the information produced;
  • Ensure the interconnection between the human resources and the other areas in Voltalia, in order to guarantee the fluidity of communication in the various levels of hierarchy and responsibility, and the resolution of cross-cutting problems, aiming to foster synergies and to improve the operational performance and efficiency of the organization;
  • Participate actively in the "committees" and local/group Projects that may exist, per request from the direct Management;
  • Implement the training and development plans defined for the Country, following-up its effectiveness;
  • Ensure an interface with external legal counsel, requesting various opinions and following up all labor litigation actions, as well as the legal component of ongoing projects in the area of human resources management;
  • Others that may be assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Master degree in any field;
  • CIPD Level 7 - Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management is required;
  • Complementary training in Human Resources Management, Leadership, Team Management, and Labour law and Fiscal Practices;
  • 10 years minimum of HR Management;
  • IT knowledge : MS Office with advanced skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint;
  • Knowledge of HR ERPs is considered useful but not mandatory;
  • Fluent In English.
