YOUR MISSIONS
As HR Generalist, you will own the full employee lifecycle for your assigned scope of work (Portugal + international entities), ensuring compliance and a seamless employee experience.
Responsibilities in HR Administration:
- Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Contracts & Documentation: Draft, issue, and manage all employment contracts, amendments, and termination documents for multiple countries (Portugal, Spain, France, etc.), ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Coordinate the end-to-end administrative onboarding (collection of documents, system access, benefits enrollment) and offboarding (exit documentation, asset recovery, final settlements).
- Compliance: Verify right-to-work documentation, manage IEFP internship protocols (Portugal), and ensure all employee files are audit-ready.
- HRIS & Data Management:
- Data Integrity: Maintain and audit employee data in the HRIS for multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy for payroll and reporting.
- Reporting: Generate monthly report, following defined templates.
- Payroll & Benefits Support:
- Payroll Input: Collect, validate, and submit monthly payroll data (absences, overtime, variable pay) to the payroll provider or (if applicable) finance team.
- Benefits Administration: Manage enrollment and queries for benefits (meal cards, health insurance, flexible benefits) in coordination with local providers.
Responsibilities in Employee Relations & Support:
- First-Line Support: Act as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns, escalating complex cases to the HR Manager when necessary.
- Manager Support: Advise managers on day-to-day people topics, including performance management, probation period extensions, and leave management, ensuring fairness across the organization and consistency with legal frameworks.
- Documentation of Cases: Assist in drafting documentation for disciplinary processes, grievances, etc, ensuring legal compliance and proper record-keeping.
Responsibilities in talent & culture initiatives:
- Performance Cycles: Support the execution of the performance review cycle by sending reminders, compiling feedback, and guiding employees/managers on using the performance management tool.
- Learning & Development: manage logistically the training sessions, attendance, HRIS training insertion and track training hours for mandatory reporting (e.g., Relatório Único in Portugal).
- Engagement: Assist in the execution of planned HR events/initiatives with employees.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Ideally, a degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or a related field;
- Between 2–4 years of experience in an HR role, with relevant experience in HR administration and some exposure to generalist tasks (employee relations, performance management and HR events management);
- Experience supporting international geographies is highly desirable;
- Solid understanding of Portuguese labour law; familiarity with the basics of another European country's labour law is a plus;
- HR Systems: Experience with HRIS (such as Talentsoft, Workday, SAP, or similar) and ticketing tools;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) for data analysis and reporting, Powerpoint and Word;
- Portuguese: Native or Fluent;
- English: Fluent, as it is mandatory for international communication and systems; Proficiency in French is a plus.
